I've renewed, but my website's stopped working

With Digital Crocus, your domain renewal and your account renewal are not tied together. This is due to the fact that with our virtual private server hosting accounts you can host an unlimited number of separate domains all under a single account. This gives you greater flexibility and it means that some customers register domains throughout the year and end up with domains expiring at completely different times to their main account.

If you have experience with another web host which only lets you host a single domain under your account; you may be used to paying a single renewal fee for both your domain and your web hosting account. With Digital Crocus you will have to pay separately for these two separate renewals, even if they occur at the same time.  This could result in you forgetting to make one or other of your renewal payments.

If you do find that you're receiving renewal reminders even though you think you've paid, or your domain stops working unexpectedly; it's worth checking your invoices via the invoices section of the control panel to see if you have paid for both your web hosting account renewal, and your domain renewal.  If you have missed a payment, not to worry, you should be able to make the payment by clicking on the red link on the front page of your control panel - if you have trouble or you don't see a red link after logging into our control panel, simply contact us and we'll sort it all out.
